FAA-approved courses that a certificated flight instructor (CFI) can complete in place of presenting a renewal activity record, in order to renew the flight instructor certificate for another 24 calendar months. FIRCs cover regulatory updates, teaching techniques, aeronautical knowledge, and current safety topics, and are offered by FAA-approved providers in online, classroom, or blended formats.
