Definition
The complete set of knowledge, skills, and performance standards a student must achieve by the end of a course of training. Overall training objectives define the final outcome of the entire program and serve as the reference point from which an instructor builds the smaller blocks of learning that lead to it.
Plain English
The full list of what a student needs to be able to do, know, and demonstrate by the time the training is finished. It describes where the student must end up overall, not the small steps along the way.
